Theory Postdoc Position at
Iowa State University
The nuclear theory group at Iowa State University is
soliciting applications for a postdoctoral position. The
appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2004. The
initial offer is for one year and renewable for a second year.
We especially encourage applications from those with an
interest in QCD and its
application to high energy nuclear physics and spin physics.
Our group consists of two faculty members (Jianwei Qiu and
James P. Vary) and one postdoctoral research associate.
Our research interests are concentrated on QCD and Strong
interactions, including efforts on both perturbative and
nonperturbative approaches. In addition, we have a strong
nuclear experimental program, consisting of four faculty,
three postdocs and students who are active members of the
PHENIX
Collaboration. Iowa State University is an equal opportunity
affirmative action employer and we encourage applications from
women and minority candidates.
Applications should include a CV, list of publications and a
description of research interests. E-mail applications are
acceptable, and should be sent to Professor Jianwei Qiu at
“jwq@iastate.edu.”
Applications through regular mail should be sent to Professor
Jianwei Qiu, Department of Physics and
Astronomy, Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa 50011.
In addition, applicants should arrange to have three letters
of recommendation sent to above email or regular mail address.
The deadline for applications and letters of recommendation
is February 1, 2004 or until the position is filled. |
